Cardinals Fall to Salisbury at Saturday Dual

SALISBURY, Md. –  The Catholic women's swimming & diving team dropped a non-conference meet to Salisbury, 45-215, on Saturday at the Maggs Center Pool Nataorium. The Cardinals fell to 3-5 overall and are 2-1 in the Landmark Conference.

Molly Foltz led the Cardinal point scorers with two bronze medals on the day. She placed third in the 800 free (9:43.32) and the 400 free relay (4:19.66). She also placed fourth in the 400 free (4:47.74).

Olivia Palubinski, Emily Albans and  Annie Zeigler also record a third-place finish against the Sea Gulls. Palubinski's came after she touched the wall in 1:13.27 in the 100 fly. She added a fourth place finish in the 200 IM with a time of 2:43.56. Albans got hers in the 100 back with a 1:09.04. Zeigler placed in the top three in the 200 fly with 2:46.11. 

Emily Blaskovich notched two fourth-place finishes in the 50 free and 100 free. She clocked a 29.13 in the sprint and a 1:05.17 in the 100.

The Cardinals recorded a third place finish in both relays on the day, starting a 2:10.38 in the 200 medley relay and ending with a 4:19.66 in the 400 free relay.

The Cardinals have one dual meet remaining before competing at the Landmark Conference Championships in mid-February. They will make the short trip across D.C. to compete against Howard on February 1.
