LANCASTER, Pa. — The Catholic men's track and field team returned to action on Saturday up in Lancaster at the Alumni Sports and Fitness Center, hosted by Franklin and Marshall.
Christian Di Nicolantonio came away with one of the highest finishes for the team on Saturday in the pole vault with a mark of 4.69m to come in second place.
Gabe Stypul also competed and reached a mark of 4.09m to come in sixth place. Stypul's mark moves him to seventh on the all-time performance list, passing Trevor Orsinger (4.03m) in 1997.
Cayden Drost competed in the 60m hurdles in the prelims and ran a PR time of 9.40 to come in 15th. That moved him into a tie for seventh on the school's all-time performance list.
Sam Compton ran in the 60m and qualified for the final by coming in third clocking in at 7.02. Compton went on to come in third place in the final with a time of 7.05.
Kendrick DuPree,
Jevontae Fearwell,
Marco Indelicato and
Sean Owens all ran in the 4x400 relay and came away in second place with a time of 3:31.03. That performance was good enough for the ninth best time in program history.
Fearwell also competed in the 200 and 400 where he came in second (23.30) and fourth (51.87) respectively.
Mark Enamorado placed 13th in the weight throw reaching 12.56m to move into eighth all time on the program's performance list.
The Cardinals are back in action at the Patriot Games in Fairfax, Va. starting on Friday January 31.
