FREDRICKSBURG, Va. – Ella Knox and Shloka Tambat competed in day two of the 2024 ITA Division III Women's Southeast Regional Championships on Sunday. 

The freshman duo took to the doubles court together in the women's open double consolation round of 16. They faced off against Sweet Briar's Ana Patino and Alexandra Guilarte, who fell out of the main bracket yesterday after a 5-8 loss to a pair from Mary Washington. Knox and Tambat showcased their young talent throughout the match, but could not find the winning point down the stretch. They ultimately fell 5-8. 

Knox continued her day with a singles match in the consolation draw stage. She battled to the very end but dropped the contest 0-8. Her opponent, Sarah Guistwite from Gettysburg, found her stride early and picked up the victory to advance the round of 16. Guistwite then fell 0-8 to Mia Linam from Christopher Newport.

Catholic will take a week off before heading to St. Mary's City, Md. on October 5.
