Earley Leads Catholic at Elizabethtown Invitational

HERSHEY, Pa. - Catholic opened up the 2024 fall season at the Elizabethtown Invitational at Hershey CC East this afternoon. Joe Earley led the way for the Cardinals, starting his season off with a 77 (+6) to pace Catholic.

Earley shot a 38 on the front, carding birdies on both par fives on the front nine. Earley played the course's three par fives in two under par.

Liam Bohm and Matthew Dietl also broke 80. Bohm fired a 79 (+8) with 11 pars and a birdie on the 451-yard par four seventh. Dietl also shot a 79 for the Cardinals.

Freshman Timothy Cleary and senior Mario Ventresca each shot 80 (+9) for Catholic. Cleary birdied the 468-yard par four 15th and shot a 36 (+1) on the back nine. Ventresca birdied the 555-yard par five sixth hole and shot 40 on both nines.

Catholic will host the Cardinal Fall Classic on September 21 and 22.
