Madore Joins Catholic Athletics as Athletic Communications Specialist

| By:
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Catholic Athletics recently announced the hiring of Joey Madore as an Athletic Communications Specialist effective August 1. Madore joins the Cardinals after stints at Johns Hopkins University and with the Baltimore Orioles.

"I am ecstatic to welcome Joey into the athletic communications office," said Assistant AD for Athletic Communications Jeff Jezewski. "Joey's background in communications and sports broadcasting will provide a major benefit to our operation. His experience both behind the scenes and in front of the camera will help us continue to grow and strengthen our content and digital brand."

At Catholic, Madore will play a major role in the broadcast and video production efforts while serving as a primary contact for a number of Catholic's athletic programs.

Madore joins the staff after spending the past two years as an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications and Play-By-Play Broadcaster at Johns Hopkins University. He joined the Hopkins staff in August of 2022 and served as the primary contact for six sports while also contributing heavily to the broadcast and digital media efforts of the department.

Madore spent the spring of 2022 as a game presentation assistant with the Baltimore Orioles and has continued to work in various roles with the Orioles. Madore helped execute pre-game ceremonies on the field and would also be a stage manager for the teams' in-game host. Madore also worked in several different control room roles during his time with the Orioles.

Madore graduated from Ohio University in 2022 with a degree in Journalism News and Information and a minor in Sports Management and Administration. During his time in Athens, Madore called games for Ohio's volleyball and women's basketball teams on ESPN3. Madore also was the sports director at WXTQ/WATH where he called high school football and basketball in southeast Ohio. Madore spent the fall of 2019 as the associate producer of Gridiron Glory, a local high school football show, for WOUB television.
