| By:
GREENWOOD, Ind. - For the second consecutive year, Catholic women's cross country/track & field put five student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team.

Apolline Gaspers, Kate Inglis, Clare Marsh, and Emily Moehringer, are two-time selections while Lauren Cerda receives her first CSC honor.

Cerda, a recent graduate with a degree in mechanical engineering, completed a stellar four years at Catholic. A four-year member of the women's soccer team, Cerda took to the track in her senior campaign and shattered every expectation imaginable. The Columbus, Ohio native earned All-America honors at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships in the 1,500 last month. She also grabbed five all-region nods, three top-three finishes at Landmarks, and a Landmark Athlete of the Week honor.

A holder of three program records, Cerda was the winner of the Catholic Athletics Donley Cup, the most prestigious award handed out to a female student-athlete by the Athletics Department. Graduating with a 3.53 GPA, Cerda was a multi-year starter and a team captain for the women's soccer program before taking her talents to the track. She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and the NAE Grand Challenge Scholar Program.

A recent graduate with a degree in Economics, Gaspers is a three-year member of the program from Chester, N.J. Graduating in just three years, Gaspers also put together a tremendous athletic resume in that time. A three-time All-Landmark selection, Gaspers finished third at the Landmark Cross Country Championships in the fall before garnering All-South Region honors with a 29th-place finish. On the track, she earned four all-region nods and a pair of Landmark Conference gold medals.

The 2023-24 Landmark Conference Indoor Senior Scholar Athlete, Gaspers was a member of the Landmark and program record breaking DMR team. Posting a 3.92 GPA, Gaspers was a member of the University Honors Program, served as the SAAC Chair of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and worked as a wealth management intern with Stifel Nicolaus & Co.

Inglis, a junior nursing major from Moorestown, N.J., recently completed her third high-level year of athletics and academics at Catholic. The NCAA Cross Country Championship qualifier is a standout for the Cardinals on the track and the course. An all-region selection in cross country, indoor track, and outdoor track, Inglis was named the Landmark Conference Indoor Track Athlete of the Year and was a strong contributor to Landmark Conference titles in cross country and outdoor track & field.

An owner of five Catholic University program records, Inglis boasts a resume with six All-Landmark First Team selections and three All-Landmark Second Team selections. As a student, she holds a 3.93 GPA, is a member of the Honors College, SAAC DEI Subcommittee, and multiple honors societies. She was a USTFCCCA All-Academic selection and has a strong service background both at CUA and before her time in college.

Marsh, a junior politics major from State College, Pa., recently completed her third campaign at Catholic with an All-America nod in the 400 hurdles at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships. Marsh's other accomplishments on the track include four USTFCCCA All-South Region honors, 10 All-Landmark selections, and a Landmark Rookie of the Year nod.

A 3.80 student, Marsh holds four program records and served as a team captain. She was a USTFCCCA All-Academic selection as a freshman, has completed a pair of internships away from CUA, and studied abroad in Madrid in the fall of 2023. Marsh also serves as the Student Government Campus Wellness Co-Director from 2021-23.

Another junior nursing major, Moehringer, is a native of Bellmore, N.Y. who completed another standout season on the track. Now a two-time All-American after a 14th-place finish in the 800 at the NCAA Outdoor Championships last month, Moehringer has a lengthy list of accolades in her three years at Catholic. The junior is a seven-time USTFCCCA All-South Region selection in track & field, has won three gold medals at Landmark Championships, and has eight top-two finishes in Landmark Championship events. She also finished 11th at the Landmark Cross Country Championships in the fall to give her nine All-Landmark honors during her three years.

A holder of three program records, including a Landmark Conference record as a member of the Distance Medley Relay, Moehringer also is a 3.90 student in the University Honors Program.
