Lauren Cerda placed 10th in Saturday's NCAA Division III 1,500-meter final to close out a banner season for the Cardinals. Cerda earns an all-america nod, joining teammates

Emily Moehringer as Catholic concludes an impressive effort at the 2024 Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
After qualifying for the final on Thursday night with a strong preliminary time of 3:34.05, Cerda finished 10th in Sunday's final with a time of 4:38.16. A first-year competitor in the track & field space after completing a four-year run with the women's soccer team, Cerda closes out an impressive season with an all-america nod to go along with program records.
The senior got off to a quick start, sitting in seventh after the first 1,100 meters before crossing the finish line in 10th place. Second through 10th place were all within 10 seconds of each other while Vassar's Haley Schoenegge ran away with the race, setting a new PR time of 4:19.46.
