Wolfe Sets Program Record, Walker Records Big Jump to Headline Day Two at Dalton Ebanks Invitational

| By:
FAIRFAX, Va. — It was another successful day at George Mason for the Catholic University men's track and field team as Joe Wolfe broke a program record and Jordyn Walker and Jevontae Fearwell had big performances as well.

Walker recorded a season-best leap of 14.17 meter jump to place fourth on day two of the Dalton Ebanks Invitational to lead Catholic. The graduate student out of Chester, Pa. holds the program record with a mark of 14.39 meters. Walker's jump currently places him in the top 10 in Division III.

Fearwell continued a breakout junior campaign, setting a new personal best in the 100m with a run of 10.73 seconds. Farewell placed second in the event while improving on his previous PR of 10.81 seconds. He remains in second in program history.

Fearwell combined Sam Compton, Sebastian Lopez and James Galang to win the 4x100 meter relay with a time of 41.62. The quartet fell just shy of the program record time of 41.44 set earlier this season.

Chilowe Osai also moved up the Catholic all-time list, jumping up to third in the 110-meter hurdles as he set a new personal-record time of 15.31. Osai placed seventh in the event and was able to better his previous top mark of 15.78 seconds.

Joe Wolfe closed out the night in proper style, producing another Catholic program record in the 10,000-meter run. The junior produced a time of 32:29.73 to secure the top spot of any Division III competitor in the event. He becomes the new program standard in his first-ever competitive collegiate attempt.

The Cardinals will be back in action next weekend when they travel north to Bucknell. Catholic athletes will compete over three days from Friday to Sunday.
