Cardinals Race to Victory in St. Mary's City on Senior Day

ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. — Catholic men's rowing showed well on Senior Day in St. Mary's City on Saturday afternoon. Competing with St. Mary's and Washington College, the Cardinals raced to victory in both varsity eight boatings while placing second in the varsity four. 

The varsity eight boat saw a competitive heat with all three boats finishing within a seven-second span. The Cardinals clocked a time of 6:51.29 for the victory. St. Mary's placed second with a 6:56.53 while Washington College came in third with a 6:57.12.

The second variety eight crushed its competition with a comfortable win in its heat. The team finished in 6:56.53. The next closest team, St. Mary's, clocked a 7:06.66.

The variety four finished in the middle of the pack with a time of 8:02.43. Washington College took first in this event with a 7:54.62 while St. Mary's rounded out the field with a 8:12.02

Catholic will now turn its attention to the MARC Championships happening on April 28 in West Winsor, NJ.
