BALTIMORE, Md. - Catholic junior
Jevontae Fearwell continues to perform week in and week out. At the Hopkins Invitational this afternoon, Fearwell set another new personal best in the 100 while combining to earn a victory in the 4x100 relay.
Fearwell blazed to a victory in the 100, running a time of 10.63 to continue improving upon his personal best time. Fearwell previously held a PR time of 10.70 as he remains number two in program history, but continues to inch closer to Clarence Musgrove's record of 10.40 seconds set in 1974.
Fearwell was joined by
James Galang,
Sebastian Lopez, and
Chilowe Osai as the group won the 4x100 relay with a time of 41.85. The group also ran well individually with Lopez and Galang also setting new personal bests. Lopez went low for the second straight week with a time of 10.90 seconds to remain number three in program history. Galang just nudged past his previous PR with a time of 11.07 seconds. Osai also ran well in the 110 hurdles, placing fourth with a time of 15.91 seconds.
Kendrick DuPree set a new season best time in the 800 as he finished seventh with a finishing time of 1:56.02.
Matthew Brown and
Nick Troy finished 15th and 16th in the 400 with season best and personal best times of 52.14 and 52.43.
Marco Indelicato placed 18th in the 200 with a new PR time of 23.17 and
Josh Phillips finished ninth in the 400 hurdles with a time of 1:00.45.
Connor Powers and
Charles Connolly showed well in the high jump, placing third and seventh respectively with marks of 1.85 and 1.75 meters.
