KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Catholic men's soccer's junior forward
Holden Woodings was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-America Fourth team, it was announced yesterday. Woodings was one of 50 players in the country to earn All-America honors after being one of the most prolific scorers in program history this season.
Woodings adds on to his season accolades which already included Landmark Offensive Player of the Year, USC First Team All-Region V honors and First Team All-Landmark honors. He becomes the ninth player in D3 program history to be named to one of the USC All-American teams and the first since Darius Siahpoosh (2022, 2nd Team).
Woodings was named to the All-America Fourth Team as a forward, putting together one of the most dynamic offensive seasons in program history. Woodings became one of just four players in the program's D3 history to score 15+ goals in a season. His 15 goals led the conference this season and are tied for the 27th most in the country, along with being tied for the third-most in a single season in D3 program history. Woodings scored nine goals in nine conference games this season which also led the conference, and he currently has 32 points on the year which is the fifth-most in a single season in D3 program history.
Woodings scored the first hat trick in program history since 2019 (Ben Alexander) in a 3-0 Landmark win over Susquehanna, which was one of his three multi-goal matches of the season. In total, he scored in 11 different matches during the season and the Cardinals went 7-1-3 in those contests. Woodings' most impressive run of games came in October where he scored 10 goals in seven matches to help Catholic to the second seed in the Landmark Conference Tournament.
