Woodings Captures Second Landmark Honor of the Season

| By:

TOWSON, Md.  — Junior forward Holden Woodings was named the Landmark Conference Offensive Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, it was announced today. Woodings made key contributions for the Cardinals to help them lock up the second seed and a first round bye in the Landmark Conference tournament.

Woodings' big game came in the Catholic's first match of the week in a 3-3 draw with Washington College. Woodings contributed to the first goal in the match by setting up Ben Zimmer for his first assist of the season. Woodings went on to also score two goals later on in the match, including a late equalizer in the final 10 minutes to secure the draw.

The game marked Woodings' third multi-goal game of the season and brought his season goal total to 14, which leads the Landmark and is tied for 22nd in the country. His 14 goals are also tied for the fourth most in a single season in program history, since the program has been in division three, only behind Matt Lewis (20, 1996), Ben Alexander (17, 2019) and Gordie Bernlohr (15, 2023).

Woodings has scored 11 goals in his last 11 matches and has only had three conference matches that he has not scored in. Woodings has dominated Landmark opponents this year with nine goals in nine conference matches which leads the conference as well.

The Cardinals await the winner of #3 Moravian and #6 Elizabethtown in the Landmark Conference tournament semi-final on Thursday, November 7 at 7 pm. Catholic begins its run at a second consecutive conference title and automatic berth into the NCAA Tournament.
