BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Catholic's
Emily Moehringer set a new PR by nearly 30 seconds to lead the Cardinal efforts at the Paul Short Run on Saturday afternoon.
Competing in the White Race, Moehringer finished 128th with a time of 23:10.8, beating her time from last year's NCAA South Regional by 27.1 seconds. Moehringer moves into ninth on the Catholic 6K Top 10 list, surpassing former teammate
Apolline Gaspers.
Georgia Nussey was the next finisher for Catholic, clocking in a time of 24:06.8 to place 219th. Nussey improved on her Cantello Invitational time from last month by 16 seconds.
Nussey finished just seven seconds ahead of teammate
Laurel McMahon who placed 225th with a time of 24:13.6. McMahon's time was a new PR by nearly 45 seconds after finishing the Cantello Invitational in 24:57.7 last month.
The freshman tandem of
Sophia McNavich (24:51.5) and
Catherine Lorelle (24:59.6) finished 285th and 294th respectively. For McNavich, it was her first 6K race as a collegiate athlete while Lorelle ran the 6K for the second time, finishing just nine seconds shy of her Cantello Invitational time.
