FREDERICKSBURG, Va. — The Catholic University women's swimming and diving team dropped a non-conference contest to Mary Washington on Saturday afternoon.

Freshman Tara Wiarda swam in four different events, grabbing runner-up finishes in all four. She came second in the 100- and 200-yard backstrokes while swimming the opening leg in the 200-yard medley relay and the anchor leg in the 400-yard freestyle relay.

Bella Mugno earned a pair of second-place finishes in the 100- and 200-yard breastroke events while Emily Albans touched second in the freestyle sprint with a time of 26.22.

Catholic will now rest up in preparation for a home meet against DI Howard next Saturday at 1 p.m.
