WASHINGTON, D.C. — The Catholic University men's tennis team fell to a strong Harford Community College squad on Tuesday.

Catholic battled up and down the ladder as all three doubles teams fell by just a single break.

Reigning Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week James Earwood battled a very skilled opponent at No. 1 singles and managed to knick six games off his challenger (3-6, 3-6). Diego Romo gave his opponent all that he could handle as well, falling by a break in each set (3-6, 4-6).

Leyton Ramos-Platt was also able to win six games in his matchup (3-6, 3-6) before freshman Charles Robbins' match was called off due to darkness.

Despite the loss, the results show progress for Nate Farlow's team as the Owls were the seventh ranked JUCO team in the country last year.

This marked the final match of the fall season for the team, meaning Farlow's men conclude the year at 5-1 overall. The Cardinals will now break until the spring when they will surely face a busy Landmark Conference slate.
