WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Catholic University women's swimming and diving team won all but three events in a dual meet matchup against Salisbury, earning a 166.5-95.5 win on Saturday afternoon.
Katie Herman led the Cardinals by winning all of her events on Saturday. She was victorious in the 50 Free (24.68) and 100 Free (55.13) while earning wins as a member of the 200 Medley Relay (1:52.88) and 200 Free Relay (1:42.85).
Sophomore Ava Snyder also recorded three victories, winning every event she competed in. She clocked a time of 11:06.08 in the 1000 Yard Freestyle, won the 500 Free with a time of 5:26.43, and picked up a win as a member of the 200 Free Relay (1:42.85).
Emily Albans, Madeline Doucette, and Angele Parral joined Herman to win the 200 Yard Medley Relay while Emily Blaskovich, Albans, Snyder, and Herman were the winning team in the 200 Free Relay.
Kaitlin Patt grabbed two individual victories in the 200 Fly (2:19.08) and 100 Yard Fly (1:01.36).
Albans won the 100 Yard Backstroke finishing with a time of 1:00.84. Doucette tied for first in the 100 Yard Breaststroke, clocking in with a time of 1:12.39. Alexa Hipp also claimed an individual win in the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:14.38.
Crafa Award winner Kaitlyn Caple had a great diving performance, winning both the one-meter and three-meter dives with scores of 180.70 and 172.70.
The Cardinals will return to the pool next weekend to compete at Howard University.
