ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. - Led by 12 first-place finishes, the Catholic University men's swimming & diving team posted a 176-84 victory at Elizabethtown Saturday.
The Cardinals (3-1) finished first in the 200 and 400-yard medley relay with a time of 1:32.36 and 3:40.81, respectively.
Sophomore Nathan Ober led the team with three wins on the day, finishing first in the 100-yard backstroke, 200-yard breaststroke and 200-yard individual medley. He finished first in the 100 back with a time of 55.46 seconds before touching first in the 200 breast in 2:13.90. He finished the day with a time of 2:04.62 in the 200 IM.
Senior Lenny Brown finished first in the 1,000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:47.50 while junior Ellis Prescott finished first in 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:02.79.
Prescott also finished first in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:51.34.
Freshman Jackson Hicks touched the wall first in 100-yard freestyle with a time of 50.46 seconds and senior Jeffrey Schriefer-Flores came in first in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 22.55 seconds.
Schriefer-Flores claimed his second first-place finish with the top time in the 200-yard backstroke at 2:04.83.
Hicks won for the second time in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:01.48
Catholic heads to Ashland, Va. on Friday Dec. 3 for the two-day Yellow Jacket Invitational hosted by Randolph-Macon.
