BETHLEHEM, PA. - The Catholic University women's cross country team placed 21st out of 44 teams for the day at the Paul Short Invitational.
Sophomore Paige Wilderotter was the first Cardinal to cross the finish line in 105th place out of 372 runners at 24:15.3 and was followed closely behind by classmate Hannah Marino in 108th place with a time of 24:25.9. Seniors Alex Filiault (24:41.6) and Marykate Higley (24.:47.8) finished at 141st and 145th places while Emily Snyder recorded a personal best of 25:21.6
"The women ran a great race after some tough workouts," said Coach Rahn. "They had a total of 5 personal records on the day. We're seeing great progress from our women. They're putting in hard work and we're excited to see it pay off in 4 weeks at conference champs."
The Cardinals will run at the Inter-Regional Border Battle in Logan Township, N.J. on Saturday, Oct. 19. The race begins at 11 a.m.
