TOWSON, Md. – Three members of the Catholic University softball team received All-Landmark honors for their performance during the 2019 season.
Scott earned her second career All-Landmark honor after doing it all for the Cardinals this season. From the circle to the plate, the junior proved to be an all-around standout. The Cardinal currently leads the Landmark Conference with an impressive 1.26 ERA, she has also thrown 13 complete games while tallying 11 wins.
At the plate, the Medford, N.J. native is hitting .308 while leading the team with 27 RBI's, a .453 slugging percentage and three home runs.
Badolato picks up her first post-season honor as she played an essential role in Catholic's success this season. The junior has caught every pitch of every game this season, throwing out 5 runners stealing, and posting a .625 runners caught stealing percentage in conference play. Badolato also played a significant role offensively, hitting .355 in Landmark action with two doubles and seven RBI's.
Rookie Marissa Bruder has been a fabulous addition to the Cardinals lineup this season. The freshman leads the team in three different offensive categories including, batting average (.411), on base percentage (.451) and stolen bases (8).
These three Cardinals will look to continue their success alongside the rest of their team as they play in the Landmark Conference Tournament this weekend at Moravian. The No. 2 seeded Cards are slated with a 1:00 p.m. game against the No. 3 seed Susquehanna.
