WASHINGTON, D.C. - The third annual Cardinal Athletics Giving Challenge officially kicked off on Tuesday. Make a gift today and light the way for our student-athletes. Participate and spread the word before the competition ends on November 12.
"I'm inspired by the achievements of our student-athletes in competition, in the classroom and in the community every day," said Associate Vice President and Director of Athletics Sean Sullivan. "This sense of pride for our student-athlete alumni and our whole athletics community is renewed around this time each year when I see the results of our annual Cardinal Athletics Giving Challenge."
There are two men's and two women's categories for most donors and highest team participation. Each category will have three winners. The highest team participation category is for athletic alumni only where the prizes are awarded based on the percentage of a team's alumni athletes that participate, including current seniors.
Leaderboards are updated in real-time with all gifts made online during the challenge time frame. Winning teams will be announced at the conclusion of the challenge on November 13.
"The success of this challenge, much like the success of Catholic's athletic programs, wouldn't be possible without your support," added Sullivan. "Last year, the Cardinal Athletics Giving Challenge was won by baseball and women's lacrosse. This year, our other 23 teams are eager to take that title. Let the competition begin!"
