COLMAR MANOR, Md. – The Catholic University women's cross country team finished fifth at the 2019 Landmark Conference Cross Country Championships hosted by Catholic on Saturday.
The Cardinals finished with 112 points. Elizabethtown won its sixth-straight title with 45 points while Moravian came in second with 57. Scranton (79) and Susquehanna (89) were separated by just 10 points.
Sophomore Paige Wilderotter was the first Cardinal to cross the finish line, earning All-Landmark Conference Second Team honors after placing 12th out of 82 runners with a time of 23:58.85.
Sophomore Hannah Marino just missed all-conference honors by eight seconds as she posted a new personal best to finish 16th in 24:16.52. Senior Alex Filiault also finished in the top-20 as she crossed the line in 19th with a time of 24:25.67.
The Cardinals return to action at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional in Memphis, Tenn., on Saturday, November 16 at 11 a.m.
