WASHINGTON, D.C.- The Catholic University women's cross country team continued its success bringing home another trophy for their second place finish at the Don Cathcart Invitational on Saturday.
The Cards were led by Senior Kiera Lyons finishing in second place with a time of 22:35.69. Her finish marks the fastest time in the Landmark Conference. Freshman Paige Wilderotter followed just behind finishing in third place(22:55.30).
"The women had an exceptional race today," said Director of Cross Country and Track & Field Steve Rahn. "Six out of seven women ran all-time personal bests today after a few hard weeks of training. Even without our 4th and 5th runners, the women were still able to place 2nd, which shows our depth is a strength this year. The team is very focused and heading in the right direction."
The Cardinals will race next at the Hood Open in Frederick, Md. on Saturday, October 13 at 11 a.m.
