WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Catholic University women's tennis team secured its second win of the season on Wednesday when they took down Trinity (D.C.) in a local match up.
The Cardinals took a 3-0 lead after doubles action. Sophomore Colleen McLaughlin and sophomore Christina Cochrane won the first doubles match 8-0. Freshman Hannah Clark and freshman Josie Cost followed with an 8-0 victory as well. Freshman Tess Geishauser and freshman Olivia Sensenbrenner wrapped doubles action up in similar fashion securing another 8-0 win.
Catholic would go on to win all six singles contests. McLaughlin would win the first singles with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph. Cochrane, Clark, Cost, Geishauser, and Sensenbrenner would follow with 6-0, 6-0 victories.
Catholic will return to action on Friday, September 28 at Gettysburg College.
