GRAND LAKE, Colo. - Catholic University women's lacrosse seniors Jess Lyons and Erin Dugan were selected to the 2019 IWLCA Division III Senior All-Star Game on Friday. The duo were the only players chosen from the Landmark Conference.
A total of 132 student-athletes, including 44 each in Division I, II and III have been divided into two teams, North and South.
The game will be played on Tierney Field at US Lacrosse Headquarters on Saturday, June 1 at 11:30 a.m. The Division I game will follow at 1 p.m., and the Division II game will cap off the event at 2:30 p.m.
A three-time All-Landmark Conference and two-time IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region selection, Lyons started all 22 games this season and led the team with 56 goals, 66 points, 83 draw controls and 33 caused turnovers while ranking second with 48 ground balls. She scored at least one goal in 21 of the team's 22 games this season and in 25 of her final 26 dating back to 2018. She finished her career with 131 goals, 23 assists, 154 points, 135 ground balls, 194 draw controls and 79 caused turnovers in 83 games while making 60 starts.
Dugan was a four-time All-Landmark Conference and three-time IWLCA All-Chesapeake Region selection. She was one of six players to start all 22 games this season and finished third on the team with 38 ground balls and 68 draw controls. She also totaled 12 caused turnovers. An IWLCA Second Team All-American last year, she finished her career with 148 ground balls, 237 draw controls and 77 caused turnovers in 84 games while making 82 starts.
Admission for all three games is free of charge. The game will also be web-streamed live on IWLCA-tv.com.
