Cardinals Open 2019 Season with Second-Place Finish

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Catholic University men's cross country team finished in second place at the Howard Labor Day Classic on Saturday, totaling 36 points, just eight behind Division I host Howard.

Three freshman nabbed top-10 finishes for the Cardinals. John O'Rourke paced Catholic with a third-place finish (16:40.12) and was followed closely behind by Paul Ames in seventh (17:19.94). Colin Agostisi crossed the line in 10th (17:34.33).

A fourth freshman, Brian Reinhart, finished 11th in a time of 17:34.56.

Catholic hosts the Cardinal Classic next Saturday, September 14 at Colmar Manor Community Park beginning at 10:15 a.m.
