FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - The Catholic University men's tennis team competed at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southeast Regional Championships this past weekend.
Catholic was represented by four competitors, sophomore Frankie Fortunati, senior Matt Pham, senior Ted Tiu, and junior Kyle Weber. Tiu and Fortunati teamed up in Division III doubles while Pham and Weber paired to compete in the doubles flight B bracket. Fortunati and Tiu also represented Catholic in singles play.
The Cardinals put up a tough fight but lost in the quarterfinals of all four matches.
Catholic is back in action Saturday, October 6 as the Cards hit the road to take on St. Mary's (Md.) at 1 p.m.
