WASHINGTON — The Catholic University of America men's lacrosse senior Mike Robertello was honored by the Landmark Conference on Monday afternoon as he was selected as the league's Defensive Athlete of the Week.
The Rutland, Vt., native helped spear-head a sterling defensive effort for the Cardinals as they held Drew to just eight goals in their Landmark-opening win over the Rangers.
Robertello came up key on several possessions as he recovered three ground balls and added a caused turnover in the victory.
The Cardinals now stand atop the Landmark with a 7-3 overall record. The weekly honor is the fourth for men's lacrosse this season.
Catholic continues conference play this Thursday, March 29, when the Cards travel up to Scranton to face the Royals at 1 p.m.
