HOLLIDAYSBURG, Pa. - The Catholic University men's golf team placed third against conference competition in the Landmark Fall Preview on Saturday afternoon.
The Cardinals shot 320 (+32) for their team score to finish third on a par 72, 6795-yard course at Scotch Valley Country Club. Sophomore Kaden Kinard led Cardinal golfers with an impressive round score of 76 (+4). His round tied for second out of 35 competing golfers with Goucher's All-American honorable mention Julian Gonzalez.
Kinard's 76 round ties a career-best. The 2019 Second Team All-Conference honoree shot 76 in last year's Fall Preview on Oct. 20, 2018 as well as this year's Elizabethtown Invitational on Sept. 17.
Scranton's Nick Campanelli took first outright shooting under par with a 71 (-1).
Fellow sophomore Zach Mueller followed close behind with a 77 (+5) round to tie for fourth place overall. The 77 is Mueller's best round of the season.
