No. 17 Catholic Falls to Rowan

WASHINGTON, D.C - The Catholic University field hockey fell to Rowan 4-0 in its home opener Saturday.

The Cardinals defense started the game with a strong performance, not allowing a goal until 24 minutes into the game, giving Rowan (3-0) a 1-0 lead before adding one more at the end of the first half.

Sophomore Kim McGroary made eight saves for Catholic. Senior Hannah Schied led the team with two shots.

Catholic returns to Cardinal Stadium on Tuesday, September 11 against Stevenson at 6 p.m.
