WASHINGTON – The Cardinals four-game road stint has been an unsuccessful one, as CUA ended the weekend at Moravian with a 17-3 loss in Bethlehem, Pa.
Catholic tallied three runs in the top of the sixth. Marc Hanna, who finished the contest with one run, hit and an RBI, doubled scoring Stefan Poggioli. Paul Burmester gathered two RBIs when he single down right field sending Hanna and Nick Clary home.
Despite leading the pitching effort with five strikeouts, Andrew Carroll recorded the loss by allowing nine hits and seven runs over 4.2 innings.
The Cards return home to host Johns Hopkins at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26.
