WASHINGTON - CUA's winning streak hit four on Sunday afternoon, while completing the series sweep against the defending Landmark Conference champion Drew Rangers, with an 8-1 win. Behind a strong offensive output, CUA improved to 4-2 in the Landmark Conference and 15-6 overall on the season.

The Rangers and Cardinals were scoreless through the first inning, but CUA quickly got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second. An RBI single to right field by Charlie Dillon scored Chris McCloud from second base.

CUA kept the offense going in the bottom of the third, adding four runs to make it 5-0. Brendan Breslin reached first base on an error and advanced to third off a single by Mark Kalokitis. Nick Clary added to CUA's hit total with an RBI single to left field scoring Breslin and moving Kalokitis to third.

Kalokitis then scored on a passed ball, and Marc Hanna plated Clary off an RBI single to center field. Dillon' s single drove in his second run of the day, while Hanna crossed home plate for CUA's fifth run.

CUA added one more run in the bottom of the fifth on a Kalokitis single that scored Breslin from third base. Breslin had reached on a single and advanced to third after stealing second.

The Rangers were able to get a run across the plate in the top of the sixth when Matthew Kaplon hit a single to right field that allowed Anthony Feltre to score.
