Visiting Team Services

The Athletic Training Staff at The Catholic University of America would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and acquaint you with some of the medical services we provide to visiting athletic teams.

The athletic training facility is located on the ground level of the DuFour Center in Room 108. It will be available at least one hour prior to each practice and two hours before competitions. The Catholic University of America will provide taping services, but we request that you provide your own supplies. In addition, we are willing to provide treatments to visiting student-athletes if a letter signed by a Certified Athletic Trainer is provided.

Please feel free to make use of our athletic training room for taping and treatments when you are accompanying your teams. Therapeutic modalities available at our facility include whirlpools, hydrocollators, ultrasound, and muscle stimulation. If you are accompanying football, taping tables, water, ice, and a small hydrocollator will be provided in your locker room.

The athletic training staff will provide coverage at all home contests. Water, ice, and cups will be located on your bench. In addition, vacuum splints, crutches, and an automated external defibrillator will be at the contest site if the need should arise. During football games, an ambulance and our orthopedist will be located on-site.
