Brewah begins her first year as an assistant athletic trainer at Catholic in 2018-19. She joins the sports medicine staff after earning her board of certification and receiving her master of science in athletic training from Florida International University in April 2018.
Brewah assisted the FIU football, indoor and beach volleyball teams while working at South Florida Rehabilitation and Training Center and Belen Jesuit Preparatory School. She also spent a week in Costa Rica participating in 40 hours of clinical work providing free evaluations and rehabilitation to geriatric, pediatric and physically-active populations.
At FIU, Brewah performed Active Release Technique (ART), IMPACT testing and the administration of IV fluids. She also used the AlterG anti-gravity treadmill for RTP protocol and equipment such as HIVAMAT, laser, isokinetic and hydrotherapy.
Brewah served as Vice President of the Athletic Training Student Organization and received her certification in Fascial Movement Taping (FMT) in February 2018. She was also a member of the Southeast Athletic Trainers' Association (SEATA), Athletic Trainers' Association of Florida and Iota Tau Alpha Athletic Training Honors Society.
Brewah received her bachelor of science degree in kinesiology and exercise science in May 2016 from the University of Maryland where she worked with the football and women's soccer teams as a sports medicine student intern.
