Dwyer, Director of Development for The Catholic University of America Athletics heads the department’s alumni fund-raising arm. He came on board in January 2016 after spending seven years across campus holding various positions in the alumni office and later as a major gift officer for the University.
Dwyer is an alumnus of Catholic University (B.S.B.A. 2007) and was a member of the varsity basketball team for four years and captained the squad as a senior. Following his career playing for the Cardinals, Dwyer played a year of professional basketball in Manchester, England for the Manchester Magic of the English Basketball League.
Dwyer's grandfather, Bob Dwyer, attended Catholic University in the mid 1930's and went on to have a storied high school coaching career in the DC area, spending nearly a decade up the hill from Catholic, coaching the Archbishop Carroll High School varsity boys' basketball team to some of their finest seasons in history.
He and his wife Melissa live with their son Luke in Silver Spring, Md. He is actively involved in coaching youth basketball in the area.
