Ratke begins his 10th year at Catholic in 2018-19 and his eighth with the athletics department. He was promoted to Associate Athletic Director in August 2016 after joining the athletic department in October 2011 as the Assistant Athletic Director for Recruitment before transitioning to Assistant Athletic Director for Operations.
A 2009 graduate of Catholic, Ratke began his tenure as the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admission where he was responsible for recruiting potential students in the Northeast region. As an undergrad, he spent four years as an operations student assistant in the athletics department while earning his bachelor's degree in political science with a minor in philosophy.
Ratke is one of four family members to graduate from Catholic. His grandfather, Henry, the boxing manager who played tennis and ran track, graduated in 1937 before his older brother, Joseph, completed a dual degree program in architecture and engineering in 2005. His younger sister, Elizabeth, played four seasons on the Cardinal softball team before graduating in 2014 with a degree in philosophy.
A native of Williamsport, Pennsylvania, Ratke volunteered as an usher for the Little League World Series for several years and played basketball and baseball at St. John Neumann Regional Academy.
Ratke currently lives in Washington, D.C., and is pursuing his master’s degree in management at Catholic.
